Hi Everybody,
I'm looking for feedback on a bunch of songs at:
http://www.mp3.com/winchester
I recorded it on a Roland 1680. Any comments on musicality, lyrics, production, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

hey,

I listened to "nobodys getting out alive. Nice effort. It sounded very harsh, as if you were overcompensating for dull monitors. THe bass and drums sounded low in the mix, but that might be the particular genre.

I think that cutting down on the highs should fix the most noticeable problem.

Hey CyanJaguar ,
I won't argue with you about the high end. I was trying for a "thin" guitar sound....I overdid it a bit, but I was so many sub-mixes into it I did't have the heart to do it over. But I learned my lesson. That song was my first effort at home recording. If you get a chance listen to "Debbie Does It Better"....I think that you will find the eq a lot better.

Debbie is a forutnate woman

YES. Debbie does it better is a much better mix. There was not the problem of harshness. The panning was better. The bass was also more defined.

I like the vocal sound you got and the harmonies. Good job,

keep it up.

Thmaks for listening....and the words of encouragement!
