Feedback/Tips on my new song?

hey man,

I make a point of commenting on everything I listen to, cos it seems pointless to not once you've taken the time to listen. So here goes:

I gotta be honest, and say this is not my cup of tea or whatever. I've never really got into the really heavy metal stuff - cookie monster vocals etc . . .

So I'll try and comment anyway - remember I don't really know what I'm talking about so I don't want anyone to take offence. I thought the vocals were a bit flat - no emotion (apart from the cookie monster bit, which was good as far as cookie monster goes). The chorus, where the singer is holding "straightforwaaaaaaard" just falls a wee bit flat - like he's distracted (by playing guitar?).

Also, to my ears the playing was slightly out of time. Not a lot - just a bit. Now although I don't know much about Metal, it seems that one of the ground rules is that the band has to be TIGHT - Savant, Metallica, System of A Down - all very tight musicians. I'm not trying to have a go here, but I just think that if that's who you're competnig with, you have to be as tight as them, you know?

the song itself was good for my ears - nice structure, good build up to the chorus. Solid composition - just work on the delivery
 
Nevermind...I forgot WMP is hosed on my computer.

I have the problem...LOL

this isn't a final version, and i haven't used an auto tuner etc. yet. but thank you, i will take all of that into consideration.
 
Completly out of time and way to bright sounding.

Also, us white folks can't rap. :D
