Anyone ever gotten rid of feedback in a high gain setting? Do the behringer feedback eliminators or anything else work? Creative EQ? help.

What kind of feedback? Are you talking about pickup feedback, if so there is somethings that can help. The pickups could be potted in wax if they are microphonic, or if they are touching the body it will sometimes cause feedback. While it is feedingback try to touch the pickup and stop the feedback. If that works, then try foam under pickup or change the mounting of the pickup.

how would I figure out if it's pickup feedback? I gave my best shot at checking.. plugged in through the distortion pedal at relatively high gain (what i use for normal playing), my marshall jcm 800 head volume around 4 (i usually don't go higher than that unless i'm playing out) and preamp control around 2 (it's not producing the gain, basically)... my epi LP on the bridge pickup (i'm using that pickup 90% of the time), tone all the way up, volume all the way up, yadda yadda... i'm sitting there, no feedback yet, i tap the pickup a little with my pick (hitting no strings) and i get feedback... also, when feedback is started, if i turn down my pickup volume pot control down just a hair (one notch or so) and then turn it back up, the feedback stops...

Do everything you just described again, only this time mute the strings with your free hand. If you hear feedback this time, it may be the pickups.

But I think several different things may be causing the problem. Try using less gain from the distortion pedal and bring the treble down on your pedal and amp. Bump the tone down a little on your guitar as well. How close are your to the amp when the feedback starts. Move yourself and the pickups as far away from your speaker's magnetic field as possible. There is a previous thread here titled "How To Get Harmonic Feedback". this thread contains very detailed info on how to get feedback and describes different types of feedback. Armed with the knowledge of creating feedback, you should gain new insight on how to eliminate it.
