i do love smilies...
hey there,

heres the story - my six piece band are probably losing two members, and we're looking to find ways that we can contine going with just the four members left. to help add to the textures that we normally try and make with six people, i want to start using the effects and reverb in my TC M300 a lot more, which i use mainly in my mini home studio right now, and very occasionally live... i've been looking at the Behringer FCB1010, and i've read quite a few reviews raving about it, and haven't yet found anyone saying they don't like it :p

i was wondering, how much control could i actually have with it? i was wondering, if i used the two completely independently (so had nothing but the m300 being controlled by the FCB1010), would i be able to change parameters, and effect settings, and delay tempos? to sum it up, would i be able to change everything i normally can with the functions on the front of M300 with my foot, using the FCB1010? or would it be simply switching effects on and off? because obviously, i could get something much smaller/cheaper if that was the case :p.

thanks for any help,

Andy

oops, sorry, change that. i was just talking to a friend, who has a Roland FC-100, which he never uses, and said i could borrow on a permanent basis... would this be able to work in a similar way to the Behringer product? i'm just hoping that it is compatible with a product that isn't Roland... and i could save the cash if it'd work alright :) :p

any advice would be appreciated :)

thanks,

Andy

The FC-100 is roland based and will likely not do what you want at all.

The FCB1010 is very flexible and can control just about anything via MIDI. I am not familiar with the M300, so have little info there. The FCB1010 can easliy control volume, one other variable effect, patch selection and turn other effects on/off.

:) thanks for that - yeah, i went to my friends house tonight, picked up the pedal board thing and said 'nah, it ain't gonna fit :p' - i gave it a go anyway, just in case, but we were right the first time, my friend! :p

it looks like the FCB1010 is probably the way to go, unless anyone else has any other suggestions,

thanks,

andy
