I really like DJ Shadow.

A friend of mine went to school with DJ Spooky.

MadAudio, where you at in DC?

Back on topic, DJ Premier, hands down. NOBODY (that I know of) can match his skill with a turntable. Hi Tek is ill as well.

There was a local cat here in Boston back in the 80's name "Lego" he got killed over something STUPID! (He was one of the illest and up and coming)
But I think Jazzy Jeff was the illest I ever heard. He was waay before his time!

yea i woulda said jazzy jeff, primo, and hi-tek. mathematics and alchemist came up as djs too.

swamp. the man is insane.

Saw him play at motor few years back and a the end of his routine, he hops the decks on to the bass bins (which were in front of the raised DJ booth, no small feat in in itself) working the record behind his back FREESTYLING on a mic, and then proceeds to set himself on fire. All this without missing a beat. Brilliant
