I am wondering where I can find the best VST or DirectX reverb software plug-in. The only one I am really impressed with is the free one FreeVerb, please post your favorites, and if possible links to samples of them in use!

:)

freeverb?

my fave would have to be the nuendo reverb but as that cant be used in anything but nuendo the next would probably be the Ultrafunk/sonitus one. But then again i think that freeverb is absolutly shit house so they may not be what your looking for.

theres no samples but theres a demo you can DL here:

Down load the Waves Demo.

Room Verb and Rennasance Verb are both very nice for a plug-in. Remember you pay for what you get. Waves is expensive, but they are very good plug-ins.

Waves is good.
Reverbx is the best. Demo it, but remember to watch that CPU usage, it is a hog, but sounds great because of it. I doubt there is much better out right now.

FWIW, Home Recording magazine's cover story this month is plug-ins. The author gives the best reverb nod to TC Native Reverb from TC Works. His favorite compressor is Waves Renaissance compressor. TC Works and Waves always come up in these type discussions. If cash allows, the cool setup would be a bundle of each! I've never tried anything but what came with my recording app... sigh.

If you're looking for a good free reverb check out Anwidasoft's "lite" version of it's excellent reverb

This is one of the best reverb plugs I've heard and I've demoed most of the pricy one's too.
