Fathead: Stock v. Trans Upgrade

Anyone care to share any observations/experiences regarding the Cascade Fathead with a stock transformer versus one with a Lumdahl or CineMag upgrade? If so: (a) is it worth the difference in price and (b) what are the most noticeable differences/improvements?

I wish I could help, but hell, I had the same question. Anyone?
 
From what I have gathered, the upgrades increase the output andfreq response.
