Very well done once again Joey!
I really like the rhythm guitar sound on this. I seems a bit darker than I remember from some of your past recordings. More of a retro metal sound to my ears, which I like.
Vocals are great. I iamgine you can track those in your sleep at this point. Great sound overall.
Personally, I'd prefer the drums to be a little dirtier to match the intensity of the vox and guitars...like more of a room mic sound?
Anyway...excellent recording here.![]()
Great job Joey! There's some nice metal intracacies in the guitars that really shine. Vocals are superb and the wankery is epic!![]()
Joey,
very cool. All the comments re drums are reasonably - mind you - as a non drummer I think they're pretty cool. BUT satisfying a drummer is a good bar to aim for.
The thing rocks - thanks for the ackn. mate - though unwarranted as you've synthesize li8fe, the universe & everything tocreate your narratives.
Good rock mate!
Sorry I've not commented until now - mega internet issues that I shna't go into.
I'm glad this was the 1st tune I lobbed onto after my absence!
I'm downloading the song at present - I started listening to the streamer but "problems" from my end. I got through the 1st 90 seconds & was/am very impressed.
I'll offer more when I've listened to the complete work.
Cheers

I'm back - guitars remind me of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath era - & that's GREAT to my ears.
I enjoy the fact that you play modern metal without resorting to the modern generic tones.
The end of the solo is abrupt but you could a) fade a note out over the next line or b) end it with a bang!
The solo is really, very good shredding - well done Sir N.
Tonsils still intact after this rave up? It sounds like I'd find chunks of epiglottus on the spit screen!
I'm looking forward to hearing this is true CD fidelity (even nicer if it had the expanded range of vinyl to burst from).
Cheers

Very cool tune. Ive listened to each and of course each gets better. 1st, the bass guitar comes across really boomy. Im listening on a rockin set of Klispch 3.1 pc speakers and my sub is THUMPIN2nd, what Slate sample are you using and how are they triggered ? Kontakt Player ? Slate samples really come to life using the room samples along with the main sample.
Another fine tune from you Joey, sounds very cool.
I'm hearing a bit of sync problems on the drum intro as well, really at the first few bars I think. The solo is classic 80's style stuff-bits & pieces that seems a little too punched in though-just off the top of my head, your voice is a bit stressed sounding in a few spots, okay but sounds like you are hurting a bit....
I just heard the news and I'm totally floored.....sad, sad day indeed. I will miss my greatest inspiration.
So i guess, for whatever it's worth, I now regard this as my tribute to Ronnie.
Thanx Mike!
What a twisted turn of fate.....I was using Heaven and Hell's last album as reference for the bass level. The kit is one I put together from the different SSD samples and I use Kontakt. Guess I should experiment a bit more.....
