Fading effects?

Lately I've been hearing lots of slowed down vox (chopped and screwed vox) that seem to start normally and sort of fade into the whole effect. I also edit video and have no problem fading effects in adobe premiere pro but cant seem to figure it out in PT. I know its possible, I've been hearing it on the radio to censor curse words or to end the song... ANY IDEAS?

Have you tried the Time Compression/Expansion tool that PT's has?
