Everything sounds distorted or was that the effect you were going for? Vocals are too loud, bass could use a bit more low end and the guitars could use a bit of high pass EQ amd a push in the 3-5K range
 
Oh - I missed this one!

The lyrics are great "he's got seniority...". The vocals are pretty impressive on the chorus sections - that meoldy must be way difficult to sing, plus there's so many words crammed in there at times. Well done there with the melodies.

How did you record the guitar parts? They sound kind of DI to me...not crazy about that distorted tone, but maybe just a taste thing.

The intro seemed kind of clunky to me. The percussion was cool, but when the guitar first comes in they didn't seem to synch right to me. I also thought the chord right at :12 seemed kind of sour?

It all comes together better as it goes along. You definitely have a style that carries over from one piece to the next, and it's kind of unique, which is cool.

I think you like things pretty dry, but I found myself generally wishing that this mix was at least a little more spacious and spread out sounding.

Pretty nice song, I totally dig the Beatles-like melody and the voices. Some timing hitches here and there, I would try to fix those. The guitars have the kind of distortion on the Beatles Revolution, I think they fit pretty well. The drums could sound a bit better, but that might take away the vintage feel of the tune. I quite liked it.
 
Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to re-do all the guitar parts. The timing at the beginning is hard to get right. I'm also not thrilled with the distorted sound. Too sizzly now that I listen back.

It'll take a while for me to get that done. So please hold off on comments and let this thread sink.

The intro is a bit clunky.
The distortion is of the era but may be a little loud.
Some of the noodling is a bit wonky.
Good song overall.
 
Sorry - I won't stop commenting. I was sitting here, tapping my foot and looked up at the media player and it said MarciaMarciaMarcia. Is that the name of your band? That is so freaking funny I almost died - I just said that to my wife today. I like the song alot. I don't really have any comments other than I'm with heat on wanting to hear this spread out. It does sound kinda crammed up the middle and you have lots of goodies in there that could be spread around.
 
Cool song. Some of the vocals need to be tightened up, I think in the first verse, after that they seem to be fine. The lead guitar parts seem to be on the right and can barley hear them. Don't really feel any oomph from the kick drum. Just a few things I noticed from the top of my head :D
