I have a barely-used set of Yamaha DTXpress electronic drums. This set is about 5 years old, but so is my oldest son, which is the main reason they've barely been played... I had a couple of kids since buying them.
I've changed out the cheaper plastic pieces that attach each pad to the frame with the more expensive and sturdy metal ones. I've mounted heavy-duty steel bracing to the front and side to make the entire kit strong enough to withstand years of abuse. You could easily gig with this set, it's made to last.
I've also added the optional bell/ride pad that mounts top-center on one of the cymbals, giving you the ability to have two crash and a seperate ride cymbal. This deal includes a Tama chain-driven bass pedal. A bass pedal does NOT come with a new kit. This kit also includes a huge Altec Lansing subwoofer and satellite sound system to this drum kit. (Altec Lansing MX-5021 100 Watts total) The satellite speakers are custom mounted on steel brackets which can be faced either toward the drummer for practice, or reversed away from the drummer for band practice or gigs.
I'll post pics in a day or two when I get a chance!
I have over $1,400 invested in this kit (not including tax).
I'm going to put them on Ebay with a "Buy It Now" price of $850 + shipping, but if anyone here wants to scoop 'em up I'll let the whole thing go for $700 + shipping. This is my lowest price and is NOT negotiable. I'd estimate the shipping cost to be anywhere from $60 to $80 to mainland USA. I'd prefer local pickup, though. Manuals and cables are included, but I don't have the original boxes. I'd be willing to deliver them for free within 30 miles of my home on the south side of Chicago.
