Dude, as always--great stuff. Love the textures of the guitar--there's a lot happening but everything has it's place so it never feels crowded. Great playing and writing too. No nits on the mix--though maybe the drums could stand to pop a bit more. But the bass and all the guitars are sitting perfectly.

I'm jealous!

thanks for listening!

i think the drums popped more, with the last version of mastering i did...
it's amazing how you can change a mix (if you want to) with good/bad mastering, and i'm just not that good at it!
LOL

the idea of getting a lot going on, but not having it cluttered, is one of the things i'm really trying to concentrate on..

you know, making it feel off the cuff, yet, having it well orchestrated at the same time.

it's easier when you work out in advance, specific little melodies that you hit at exactly a certain time... then allow unrehearsed sections in between those, for the off the cuff riffing.

glad you dig it!

Yep--I dig it! And I know what you're talking about on the mixing & mastering thing. I've got my own tune here in the clinic--and I stopped posting new versions at #3. I'm now on #15. Seriously. The more you listen in more places the more you hear different things.

I listened to yours in two places though--and it sounds great in both!

Dude.... this is awesome!!!
I love the drum sounds.... yay!!!
Well, I love the way it all sounds. :D
But, I would really really really really really really really really love some more volume on the main lead guitars when they are playing a "solo" of sorts..... please?????

It's a rockin'!!!

Waiting, waiting, ah...there's some real PUNCH in the bass drum - not just click...nice.
The lead lines from around 0.35 remind me of jan hammer era Jeff Beck.

thanks man!
more volume on lead.... check!
LOL
i don't know, i kinda like having it more mixed in, just to help the listener wrap their brain around the whole thing a bit more.
more of a 'hey, pay attention!' kind of thing...
hehehe
hm.
maybe not.
well, it's short enough, it should dial right into the adhd crowd.

jan hammer era jeff beck..... wow, don't hear that comparison every day!!
i was a huge beck fan early on, especially around the time of the beck bogart and appice album.....
thanks for listening...
