Wtf is a PRS
Yea that makes no sense as a title but whatever.

Ok so i have my EZdrummer set up as a virtual instrument.

I know i have the freedom to mix each piece of the kit on its own... snare, kick, overheads etc.

But can i bounce each piece down to it's own audio track..???

I'm using Reaper if that makes it any more clear for any one......

outside of soloing each piece and rendering it to a wav...? Which i guess could be a possiblity i guess... but ...

I'm lookig at the quick easy way... It's the digital age...

Right click the MIDI event > apply fx as new take.

That might work.

I only have time in my life for one forum willis...

I'm a one forum kinda guy.

Call me old fasioned.

But i'll read through tomorrow over morning coffee..

Thanks for the tips guys. I will investigate.

would be handy to know...I havent manged it with superior in Live...nor any other drum programme without rendering it as a wave

Reaper is 1000000x better than everything else, so I'm sure there's an easy way.

you know Greg...I would have gave you 100000x better but 1000000x?

because I am a vastly superior human being to you ;)

:D

actually AB, no Canadian likes the earl..thats why i left Canada...I think it was because I used to laugh at you all walking about doing your shopping in snow shoes with huskies

:)

or it could be because I prefer electronic based music and Im a vegetarian...ya think? :laughings:

or it could be you havent yet experienced the beauty that is seal clubbing???

perhaps...

anyways...

I got this dialed in FYI:

If you mute everything in your song EXCEPT the track the EzDrummer midi files are on and the virtual track of the piece you want, say for instance snare...

then go to render and render as a .wav and check the boxthat says insert rendered track into new track....

It does just that...

Your snare gets soloed and inserted into its own new track all synched up to your timing and everything is perfect in less then a minute.

Now....... there may be an easier way, but this was the swiftest i came up with having no experience with midi.

Nothing in the reaper manual or or the Ezdrummer 'owners manual'

Hope this comes in handy for someone else....

I spent 31 years of my life on the waters of the atlantic.

If by beauty you mean the little bastards getting into my uncles weirs and eating his livlihood taking food of his famailes mouths.

then yes.

I have exepreinced the beauty of the seal.

Which i should re-iterate weir.... He did not over fish by ship or vessel. he used old school weirs.

their needs to be equilbrium.

They are like the rats of the ocean.

Cute.

But right up their on that rodent level.

here's what i did, totally by mistake one day:

open a new, blank project in reaper
right click the area where the tracks go
click "insert virtual instrument on new track"
choose EZDrummer
when asked "do you want to add the following tracks for this effect?" click yes
now you will have ez drummer on track 1--this is where you wil drop your midi info.
tracks 2 thru 9 will have the audio from the individual drums, cymbals, overheads etc routed directly to them, automatically, courtesy of reaper and ezdrummer. if you want to record the audio just arm the tracks, play your drums and watch the magic. now you have individual audio tracks for each instrument ready to process how you like. AND you sill have your midi, so you ar still able to muck about with the arrangement if you like.
