Is their any way I can separate the individual MIDI samples without having to make a new MIDI track in order to modify it?

For example... Say I wanted to Compress/EQ the toms differently than that of my kick. Do I have to make two separate MIDI channels to modify them individually?

Nevermind, I found out how to do multiouts, sorry about that. It would have been easier to come across if I knew the correct terminology for it!

I use the multiout function a lot because you can really mix them like real drums. But, be careful, EZ Drummer already has EQ and compression on most of the kits. So, really use your ears to get them to sound right.

You can also split the midi track by notes, then render each one individually.
(Helps if you have the ezd vsti on one track, then send the all the midis from another.)

With each drum/cymbal rendered individually, you can process each any way you want.

There are plenty of templates available over at the Reaper forums that are set up for doing the multi-out format for EZD's various drum sets.
