Hi guys,

Just doing some research but wonder if there is anyone else who is more in the know.

I'm looking at EZ Mix 2, which does actually seem to be quite impressive and have heard plenty of good reviews on it. By using something like EZ Mix 2, does that mean that the DAW you use isn't really as important so to speak?

I've used it before! Gives very good results all genres of music are listed etc

Despite what people think, ez mix is just another tool like any other plugin.

It does not magically make terrible sounds good. The source material has to be quality or you are literally polishing turds. It also will not work on everything, although I don't have any of the add ons other than the metal one.

That said, ez mix is a great tool and anyone who snubs it is silly.

I always use ezcoffieemaker when mixing.

Ezmix is more tools to help you reach your goal, or get you more confused. It's how you use the tools that counts it is not a short cut for knowledge and experience.

becasue i already have ezdrummer?

Ok. :thumbs up:

Superior Drummer by ToonTrack is the pro version of their entry level drum sim, EZdrummer.

It has all kinds of wonderful additions and features that EZ doesnt, including its own dedicated mixing engine with professionally compiled eq, compression, verb and other fx presets that open up a whole world of sound genres to the user - Whereas Ez drummer has one kit with one sound ( which opens up a world of dicking around with your own attempts at eq, compression, etc )
ADD is the competition and sounds king awesome.

Thanks for that. I did some research and demoed both before i bought ezdrummer. I went with ezd at the end of the day Solely because i can dicker till the cows come home with reapers stock plugs and the suites i also bought, instead of dickering with all the

dickering is dickering ? I figured for the sake of a couple hundred bucks at the time of the sale i got my ezdrummer (39 dollars) it was worth it. I also turned around and spent my couple hundred in savings on the Waves Power (during the waves 150 sale... and i am still up 75 bucks :) )pack a week later. So i got all those professional effects and junk that SD seemingly has and i get the bonus of being able to use them outside of superior drummer.

No brainer for what i am doing.

On top of that the trick to ezdrummer is to get rid of the room mic altogether and play around with reverbs. Really blows new life into the plug in.

I just like to rock out on the gt so I figured I would avoid the dicking around and put my trust in the ears of the pros.

I am a musician first, mixing guy second. Besides, putting a dollar value on my dicking around ( based on past dicking around ) means its actually cheaper for me to buy the full version - or in this case, the equivalent in ADD.

Funnily enough, its this exact same mentality that draws me to a product like Ezmix as all the heavy lifting has already been done. :thumbs up:

It appears I missed the deadline for the promo, but no fear this stuff tends to get progressively cheaper as the clock ticks.
