Picked up EZ drummer from the shop, got it installed...

Dragged somthing over to the midi track, but i have no midi inputs in the audio tracks..

This is getting aggrivating and the manual that came with it is worthless.

Any help would be appricated.

huh?

In the audio track, for inputs, i have None and Stereo USB blahblahblah.. which is the Alesis Multimix8

Make any sense?

wait what is the problem? you drag the loop onto the midi track and hit play but hear no drums?

I hear drums when i drag the midi track over to sonar.. and hear them when i hit play.

Its just recording them to a track(s) that is not working.

I probably should also mention, im a complete retard when it comes to anything midi ;)

I'm relatively new at this too so I'll try to explain how I stumbled onto it. (I had the same problem)
You need two tracks. One midi and one audio. On the audio track add ez drummer as an effect. On the midi track where you are going to record set your inputs to omni and your output you should be able to select ez drummer (which is the audio track).
Hope this makes sense

Thats about it. You shouldnt have to do anything really. When you insert ezdrummer, it inserts two tracks, one being midi. You drag your pattern to the midi track. Thats it.

Ohhh. That would be "bounce to tracks." Go to Edit-bounce to tracks.

There is another way:

select and solo the EZdrummer tracks. Export audio, so you export it as a wav file. Then import it. There is no reason to record it as audio unless you are saving resources or just feel more comfortable working that way.

That worked.

Now, in the manual, it says i can have each drum track goto its own separate channel, but doesnt say how.. any idea's?

Now that it works, i think ill pickup the Drumkit from hell expansion..

Thanks guys!

Open your mixer, and have the outs go to the different channels...I think they all default to 1. (I'm not home to look at mine right now.)

Ok i open the mixer, i select multi track.. then what was playing everything is now only playing one thing (bass drum)

How do i get the other parts to the daw?

You will have to add 7 more midi tracks in Sonar and route them to ezdrummer. You can probably make some sort of template for future use. Insert 7 more tracks, and then you go to the mixer in EZdrummer and put each channel on the corresponding track.
