MR. LAST WORD
New Track from ya boy.Trying the sampling thing again.Whats better sampling or arranged stuff?

To quote myself:

From the S950 to the SP12,
Birth of MPC60 liftin outta musical hell,
Those were days when vinyl was king,
And the art of hip hop superceded diamond rings,
I miss that grit that made hits,
Crackling samples producing tracks that'd stick

The above makes it obvious what I prefer.

This is a cool beat, It sounds like a simple 4 bar loop though. Nothing is really going on as far as hook and verse seperation. Sampling and Non-sampling both have advantages and dis advantages. Just two name a couple, sampling a beat provides an already mastered product which can include arrangemants far beyond the producer, but can be costly to clear which takes away from profit margin. Non sampling can increase profit margin, but the arrangement is only going to be as good as the producer's ability unless he rents for hire musicians and it still has to be mixed and mastered. That's just my 2 cents.

Yall know i gotta throw my half a cent in. I don't have a preference. It's just about what sounds good to me. If your gonna sample, you gotta make that sample work for you. You gotta be creative with it. It gets kinda boring when someone makes a sample beat that repeats the same sample over and over again thru the whole beat with no changes. I like sample beats that have crazy behind changes and effects and stuff. You know what i mean? Them beats that leave you like, what sample was that? I can't tell! That joint is tight! As far as arrangement, you really have to know your stuff to get a good vibe thru arrangement. That's why people love to sample so much because the stuff they sample has a good vibe to the arrangement. But like i said, as long as the beat is on point and non-repetitive(unless i can't get enough of the repetition), it's cool wit me.

1 mo thing, add a choice that says combination. I can't vote one or the other and i can't say it doesn't matter.
