I was just wondering how to use an external signal processor with my usb recording interface (tascam us122)
Basically the tascam has a xlr mic imput (preamp i assume0 which then goes through the usb wire to the comp. Say, for example, that i wanted to run the mic through a compressor before the tascam. Can this be cone? The tascam also has a 1/4 line in i belive so is this the way to go. To things like compressors have xlr imputs or are you generally supposed to go through the preamp before the stuff like compressors?
