external mixer and sonar

Have Eurorack Behringer UB802 8- track mixer.
How do I connect it to Sonar 3 so that I can use the phone outs on the mixer?
Do I use the 2 outs from the Mia card to feed into the mixer and then have speakers connected to the mixer Main outs, or what?

Ah, yup. That would be one way.

Or if the mixer has control room outs, you could use those for your speakers as well.

am using control out for speakers now -but

the outs from the mia card must somehow be fed into the mixer so that the control room outs can feed the speakers- where do they go into the mixer so i don't get feed back
and also not hear the direct signal that are being recorded onto the mix (if that makes any sense)

What you'd do I think is run your Mia outs to the Tape In rca jacks on the mixer, and connect the Control room outs from the mixer to your monitors.

Then push the 'Tape to Control Room' button, but don't push the 'Tape to Mix' button. That should do it
