I'm replacing a few exterior doors and looking for some insight. My main concern (question) is regarding security. These will be plain flush doors BTW. Fiberglass/composite looks very attractive in a few ways- I fail at maintenance and let the solid core ones go to pot.
But having checked out a few it seems to me they would be easier to compromise than solid core wood. Skipping past 'if they want to get in they can, for example simply jamming a crow bar into the latch / door gap? All that's there apparently is a few of inches of door frame.. then 'foam.
Any thoughts appreciated.

If you're worried about someone getting in a metal clad door in a metal frame lagged to a heavy wall. A crowbar can overcome just about anything if you give it room to work. A solid wood door is the next best. The more work it takes to get through it the better.

That's sort of how I was thinking it -re the fiberglass at least.
I haven't looked much into the metal yet. Is it metal over 'solid wood one of the options then?
