Does anyone know how to export a midi file or perfrom a midi dump from the BR-1600? Is it even possible?

I've had no problems exporting/importing audio files and importing midi files, but the only way I can figure out to export midi is to sync my sequencer to the BR-1600 and record the midi as it comes out. This work around, however, isn't working as I can't seem to sync the two device--in fact, I don't think it's possible. I could record the midi out of sync and try line everyting up with the quantize functions on my sequencer, but that seems like far too much work.

Any thoughts?

Your BR-1600 sends out midi clock.

Put your sequencer into external sync mode and hook a midi cable from the midi out of your BR-1600 to the midi in of your sequencer. This will make your BR-1600 the master and your sequencer the slave, and if your sequencer is sufficiently advanced you will be able to start them by both by pressing play on the BR-1600.

Can't do this. I'm using Cubase SE3 which will only act as a master and only send Midi clock. If I'm not mistaken, the BR-1600 (version 2) will only act as a slave if MTC is sent. I think I'm SOL with this set up.
