I've been asked to record and provide the original tracks in OMF format for 3rd party mixing and processing. I use CW v9 and don't see anything about OMF format. Is there a tool available that will convert WAV to OMF?

BTW, does Sonar export to OMF?

Yes, Sonar exports to OMF format. I forget which version of Sonar this was made available in - I'm thinking 2.0.

You can't convert wave to OMF as they are two different animals. A wave is a single mono or stereo sound clip. OMF is a multi-track project file. Closer to a Cakewalk .bun file than a wave file.

Your best bet would be to export individual waves of each track, which can then be reimported into whatever program they are using. It's a little tedious (which is why the request for an OMF), but it will work. Make sure to export each track from the starting point of the project so they will align in the other software.

Yup, and even though OMF is a lot easier for an engineer to load up, it is far less stable than using raw files (More so if a file that was imported to a different software package will be re-exported as OMF, to go back to your system, I've seen a fair share of corrupted OMF files after a second OMF conversion).
