I just bought the Easy CD Creator 8 and am very happy with it, for the little that I've used it. I am burning 4 track tapes recorded on a Tascam, and am wondering if there is anything that I can do with an explosive "P" on the word "prayer." The word occurs several times in the song, and when I recorded it, I didn't have a filter screen. Do I just have to live with it, or is there some way I can clean it up?

Thanks for reading..

Any advice will be appreciated... I'm still learning..

You probably need to go in and edit it by hand in Wavelab or something similar.

Do you have any recording software?

Does Easy CD Creator do the mixdown for you? I don't think it does. You need a program that can do the mixdown on the computer. There are some freeware ones available, but I'm not very familiar with them.

Anyway, once you have the offending track in a program that has a wave editing feature, just zoom in on the plosive peaks and turn them down.

P's and S's are problems with mics, especially condenser mics. Pop filters, not only filter out the p's and s's, but also protects your condenser mics' diaphram from moisture in your breath. The moisture will eventually start corroding the internals.....thats a no-no.

Do you even have the individual tracks on the computer? If you're working with a two track mix from the Tascam you'd be ediitng the whole mix which would not work.
