I have a heap of programs that are windows stuff .
they won.t unzipp or install.
this is the message I get
Not a valid windows 32 application:(
or if they are winzip flders it says can't read header:(

I get that on occasion, especially when setting up a new PC (and setting up the three or four games that eventually get forgotten... :D). I think that alot of those are REALLY NOT 32-BIT PROGRAMS. Stuff for old computers, or even better, stuff for LINUX (sp?). Both ZDNet and C|Net have some mis-filed stuff, that's when I get errors...

Pete you need to be 1000 times more specific here.

What exactly are you trying to run? Self-extracting zips? Old windows programs? What?

Also, what OS are you on?

Slackmaster 2000

some appear to be self extracting zips.
And others seem to be a DOS program as they have the little dos box...
Strange considering they are stuff like logic and cool edit
and heaps of plugins.
I have 98se. using winzip.Tried alexander(unzipper) and that would not work either.

I had this problem with stuff I used to download ages ago but I found out I needed to unzip it.It's obviously not that in this case.

And the file extention is .exe ?? Something is goofy here dude. Where were you storing these files? Could they be corrupt?

Someone gave me the disk so I'll never know exactly where they came from..Maybe I should leave them alone:D

nope;)
winzip ,cool edit, and a heap of plugins I know are windows.
