Flailing up a storm.
I do some woodworking and like to build as much of my own stuff as i can for the recording hobby as well.
I am looking for some tried and true designed for a on-the-desk system i am going to build. I have a large table right now (about 3 feet deep and probabaly 6 feet long), with a CRT, keyboard, mouse, my nearfields, and a simple wooden rack with some rack grear and a mixer on it all right on the table top. I want to build a unit to sit on the table top, bringing the monitors up a bit (and put somehting under them to decouple a bit), add some areas for rack gear to slot in (my new Layla 3G and perhaps room for 3 more full rack units, probabaly won't need many more any time soon), and some shelving/drawers/hooks for storing mics, cabling, guitar picks, etc.
Anyway, i would love to see some photos of some designs that you all mght have tried and found very functional and attractive that i could use to deign this project. Links/photos are appreciated.
Thanks!
