There is going to be a Flash version and an HTML version when I get time.

Its still under construction. So yes, the News page is a temp, the Shirts page is a temp, the Picture page is how the HTML version is going to be....and I take pictures of my gear rather than internet images :) (The Davisound is mine though). The Music page is either going to be changed, or if I can get figure out Flash better, then EVERYTHING will be like the music page.......but for now.......

Very cool graphics. I'm just curious...did you make those yourself? I've tried making cool graphics in Photoshop, but I always fail.

Thanks man.

The trick isn't Photoshop. I mean, it is...but it isn't. I fix things...but the key is something called Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Markers, plus a night at the Kinko's scanner :D :D :D

I tell you, all the color pencil plug-ins in the world can't beat the real thing.

Nice site, nice graphics. Gotta tell ya, though, it is distracting that the "news" page goes to a stark white background.

I changed everything to black. That is the last time someone tells me I have a "white" background...:o

Can anyone see the texture? Its notepaper :) I don't get it..........I guess that goes to show the difference in everyones monitors. :(

Thanks. I was going to draw a drum kit but I have been really lazy and I am working on a complete overhaul of the site. ...wich will be due up sometime before I die. I hope. :D

Yo Outlaws! Nice stuff. Here's a tip from someone who uses a VS1824CD with high quality outboard pres. Put a Lucid AD2496 between the Davissound and the VS studio, and go into the Roland by S/PDIF. This neatly bypasses the mediocre A-D conversion of the Roland, and its cruddy preamps. Trust me on this one.-Richie

I am really interested in trying this and I would love a Lucid, but I don't have 8 bills lying around right now. Are there any DIRT cheap alternatives?

Sorry Outlaws, if an A-D converter is dirt cheap, it'll be just like the A-D convertor in the Roland, which is also dirt cheap. However, you can at least bypass the Roland's pres. I did that for quite a while with a TC Electronics M300 ($200 at GC). You go from the Davsissound to the M300's line ins, turn on the bypass button, and the unprocessed signal goes to the S/PDIF in on the Roland. The A-D conversion is no better (or worse) than the Roland, but you bypass its pres completely. And you get a pretty good reverb unit. What the hell.-Richie

Thats not a bad idea. I get the fact that the A/D is going to be the same quality.....but the Roland is only 20bits.......if I get a 24bit converter then at least I am upping the quality and skipping the Roland Pres. For $200 I would normally frown on that and just save money until I can get something better......but at the same time I would be getting a decent Reverb unit that I can then use when I upgrade to my Alesis AdatHD in the VERY FAR OFF FUTURE. :)

I'll have to look into that.

Thanks Richie.

Its user friendly. Thats whats counts. I hate flash. Even the best flash is still shitty. I think its best to just hit em with the point.
100 cds with handmade art..... Thats interes

Oh one more thing....

The 1680 has 20 bit converters. It records with 24bit via the digital ins, but if I remember you 1824 is 24 bit all around....? So I think that the TC would be a decent step up.

[EDIT]

I don't know what happen to the post above......

But I think its covered here.

Ya...i am not a very big fan of a lot of Flash stuff, but I think when its done properly it can be very cool and very usefull. I don't really like the animation that a lot of people try to use. It just always comes off as childish. With all the hightech 3D graphics out there you just can't go back to something where it is essencially a low framerate cartoon with minimalist animatioon to boot. I don't really think the parts of my site that are flash really conjure up any thought that flash is even being used...it is....but not in a typical manner.....but thats just me.

Could be, I never used a 1680. But like I said, either way, it's not a bad FX box.-Richie

Thats nice to know. The none-exsisant post above basically said that I want an AlesisAdatHD one day and if I can get one before they are out dated I will. So then I would need an outboard reverb unit. I assume the TC is 24bit?
