Hello, I have the oportunity to buy one of these monitors at a good price, but i dont know what choose.
My room is 5x3 (meters), and the music I play is almost acoustic with midi.
Thanks

Welcome, Cochiche. I haven't used either of those monitors although my tendency would be to go for the Event because of its larger speaker. Better yet, I'd suggest buying both if you can and comparing them in your studio space. That's what I did--and only one made me smile.

Good luck.

I have the ALP5's and love the details, but they are not accurate in the low-end, even in a treated room. If had to choose over again, I would get a larger diameter speaker.
Cheers.

I recently acquired a pair of TR6s, in a mildly treated room (also 3x5) they were horrible. Weird mid-bass, absolutely nothing below 55Hz, passable stereo image but some nasty uncomfortness (probably caused by standing waves). Absorbers here and there didn't help much..
But then I bought a Tannoy TS8, HP'ed TR6s at 80Hz and voila - nice bass that blends in very well and most importantly, all imaging and mid-bass problems vanished.
My point is, no speaker of this size is capable of reproducing any serious bass. And the bass that is there, is weak and wildly unnatural. Go with larger monitors or use a sub, there's just no other way.
