EV Raven and Cardinal

Anybody have any experience with the EV Raven and Cardinal mics? Are they any good? I know one is condenser and the other is dynamic. I'm just curious as I'm always in the market for inexpensive but quality mics.

I have no direct experience other than having seen them but Full Compass Audio did a podcast about them that might be worth listening to. Do a search.

I would certainly consider them if I was outfitting a vocal group that wanted a mic that looked cool on stage but did not cost an arm and a leg.

I had a try of the Cardinal in a music store and was impressed. I tried it against an AT 3035 and it seemed warmer with more detail. It was only a quick test though.

Ive read that BLUE and EV developed them together ( both very good companies). I havent tried them, buy would like to.
