EV N/D 308a?

Just picked up a 2nd hand EV N/D 308a for $10. I figured it was an EV, plus how bad could it be for the money?

Looks like an LDD, possibly a tom/snare/guitar cab mic. Anyone know anything about them, couldn't find anything on the EV site?

yo Willy,

if i remember correctly, the 308 is the same as the 408 but it's a cardioid instead of the tighter (hyper or super) cardidoid the 408 has...i think the grill is flat instead of round too...

also subject to my memory - ev changed these mics to the 468...not sure of the differences on that one but it's the same general idea.

regardless, that's a deal you got there for 10 bucks...10 bucks for any of em would be awesome. cool mic.

Well, looking at the pic of the 468, the only diff is that the front grill on the 308 is squared off, rather than the rounded semi - spherical grill on the 468.

And yeah, I knew I'd gotten a bargain. I love it when the pawnshops have no idea.
