I am Lost. Lost I say. Lost. Okay, I have a Eurorack Mixer 1804X, now Its an 8 rack mixer from Behringer. My Problem: While I have the 10 inputs I need , in the back there are inserts. Now, I am new so laugh, but there is only main output. How can I send out individual channels. Say, I have voice on channel 1, guitar on channel 2 nd bass on channel three. I want to be able to send them out to individual tracks. If I am not explaining this correctly please email me at revrnrick@aol.com. The companys website is www.behringer.de. They are a German Company. Thanks!! I think I will be reading all night!

The short answwer is, you cannot. But I believe you have an extra bus on that model, called the Alt 3-4 bus. So you can get four channels. There's also a way to use inserts but I think there is only a single send and return for the stereo mix only...

So you can get at least 4 channels into something -- are you recording with a soundcard? How many inputs does your soundcard have?

You need to step up to a "real" mixer to get direct outputs and inserts on each channel....

Hey Al,

Thanks for the insight. I called Behringer today and spoke with one of there technical personnell and asked him my questions. what my setup intails is an 8 track recorder and this behringer unitto keep it simple. I basicaly wanted to be able to mix my bass player and guitarist, vocalist and so on. Now, I bought the mixer becuase I was told I could use for digital recording which I figure I can use later on down the line. The technician basically said that with using a TRS cable one notch in I would be able to direct out to a channel on my 8 track. But this is direct out is only POST FADER. Now,the unit features a digital effects unit on board. So, If I can only us it post fader, not being able to utilize the benefits of the unit, "Why would I want this unit then?", was my quetsion posed to him. He Replied. Why wouldnt you? So, Needless to say, I may be selling this mixer and opting for something else. Does anybody know how I can use it best? Thanks.

Alone, Stranded, and out 300 bucks
Rick

Aesis 24 and 32 are decent, basic, workmanlike mixers which are a
