Stand back, boys! the studio's complete! Yeah, POD Pro is OK. Got my Joemeek, my DBX, 012's, C3,NTK, Marshall Cab, Carver poweramp, monitors, cans, SM57's, all the Auralex foam you can stand, the Taylor, the SG, the Wurlitzer console, assorted AKG's, B.L.U.E. Kiwi quad cables, power conditioners, VS1824CD, and even a Korg PXR4. But it all counted for shit until yesterday, when we finally bought our lava lamp! Eat your hearts out. We went for purple lava with blue liquid and a tasteless brushed aluminum base. Next, we put a little couch in the lobby, break out the Brie and Chardonnay, and we're ready to rock!-Richie

hahahhaha dope setup man...........lol cant wait to finish mine........it wont be close to what u guys will put out but my studio will fit in right with me......gettin a lava lamp soon as well then oo hell yes it will be done.....peace

One of the reasons it costs so much more to set up for 5.1 - - Those huge-ass lava lamps for sittin' on top of subs ain't cheeeep... Steve

Right on!

Actually, I like the "brushed aluminium" base on the lava lamp. Kind of a retro art deco thing ya got goin' on!

I had one of those big giant ones like 2.5 feet tall. But I sold it before I moved with the intention of replacing it, but now I haven't seen one again. Anyone know of a source?

Excellent! I think I'll bid on one. Thats a HELLUVA lot cheaper than the last one I bought!

it's funny i came across this thread today, i was just thinking about a lamp today.

I bid on a 32" blue/green one. $30 ain't shit for a lava lamp.

I'm here to tell ya'll, on Sunday, after the 27th take, trying to play a relatively simple guitar piece without singing, as I usually would, I think I began to get what the damn thing is for...Richie
