I recorded this one with a RIBBON mic, the beyer m160 and a rupert neve designs 511 mic preamp, straight into my Audient ID22 interface, I'm really surprised at the quality of the neve preamp!

I think the answer is yes based on your post, just checking.
How far was the mic placement?
Was the guitar typical classical guitar? (Nylon strings or? Not sure what types of string you can use on classical)
Room Treatment (This sounded very dry, not room at all)

indeed just a single mic, pointed towards fret 12-14 area, around one foot from the guitar. I added some lexicon reverb for the space, thanks for listening

Sounds great - I was iffy on the bass notes versus high notes balance but that seemed to dissipate as the song went along.

thankyou, and I agree about the bass it's the new neve preamp, it seems to have an insane amount of bass so I'm having to be a lot more careful with mic placement.

I have played this piece myself and quite enjoyed you performance. To me the bass line problem sounded more like and attack issue rather than a preamp issue. I don't know if this is the case, just sounded like that to me.
