Error opening .cpr file!!!

God! this is pure frustration. i worked on a song for 4 hours yesterday, and now whenever i open the .cpr file for it, it says Error opening "filename.cpr"! What triggers this? I really need to know...is there any way to work this?

This hasn't happened to me. At worst you could go into the folder with your pool of wavs, fish out your good takes, and individually import them into a new project. Therefore, this is salvagable if all else fails.
