does anyone know, from experience, if it makes much or any difference in fidelity to erase and reuse a 1/4" reel of tape for different projects? it will be GP9 @ 15ips ran very hot and that would decrease the head's erase effectivity. so i'm also wondering if a demagnetizer like the very expensive, Verity V94, would be needed to increase fidelity.

at first, it would be cheaper to buy fresh tape for every session, but after about 30 sessions, a demag device may be more cost effective. thanks for reading.
