Does anyone out there know anything about the Equitek Series Cad E-100? Im looking for a vocal mic for my project studio that is high quality with a medium price. Will be using it to mic accoustic guitar as well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

The cad E-100 sells for 229.00 at Musicians Friend, winter 2000 catalog page 82.

If I were you I'd order it and try it. If you don't like it you can return it and get something else. M.F. is good about that.

I'd most definetely spend just a little more and go with an Oktava MC319 Cardioid for $279US from The Sound Room only. Check it out at www.oktava.com

Thanks for the advice guys..I am checking out the Octava series....it alwats pays to ask! thanks again...Mike

Maybe a little late, but....

I've used to E-100 for vocals with satisfactory results. The sound is not very full, and is bright sounding. I've used this mic for recording a kick drum and was very pleased - it has a high SPL and really picked up the kick nicely.

I have had a CAD E200 for years and find it to be a great all around mic.
The E100 is not a large but a medium diaphram
mic therefore will not give the lows but should b am ok unit. Heck for the price a stereo pair may be the answer.
