Hey-Hey everyone!

This is my first post so here it comes....

I have a mackie 808M powered mixer that I use for live sound reinforcement and a Tascam TMD 1000 for recording to computer.
Is there a way to connect the powered mixer to the tascam to utilize the 8 channels available on the Mackie, bypassing the amps???? I appreciate any input.

Don't know what's on the mackie, but if it doesn't have an output from each of the mic channels, you might be forced to get inventive -one each goes to main line out left/right (via pan), one gets a monitor out, one to each aux, ect.
If it's one of those box-combo units, you might not have even that many options.

If you want to run a submix on the Mackie into the TASCAM you could just use the tape out. Make sure you keep some speakers plugged into the Mackie's amps though unless there's a way to turn them off separate from the mixer. If you run the Mackie's amps with no load you could fry 'em.
