I'm currently using the 909 kit. Is there a way I can EQ each drum instead of trying to EQ the entire kit? I tried dissolving the part, then trying to edit each drum, but it didn't work.

what do you mean dissolving the part?

take each drum and make it it's own track ( a track for midi bass, snare, tom, tom ,tom, cymbal, hi hat etc) then eq each one.

Never mind, I think I just need to read more about MIDI routing.

if you want to split the drum tracks to individual AUDIO tracks (i thought you were talking about midi) then you need a firewire interface... it has inputs to plug your microphones on your drum kit and then cubase will indeed split them up. you just need to choose the insert on each track to be input on the interface that has a mic going into it.

Actually, I was talking about MIDI. I'm using my Micron as the MIDI controller for the 909 VST drumset.

oh well. then just cut and paste each individual drum track to it's own midi track
