EQ Your Tracks Automatically?

That would work if your song was identical to the chosen one...if it had the same instrumentation and arrangement, and if both were mixed exactly the same way.

I don't know if that'd work. Wouldn't want to try it personally. I'll trust my own single ear thanks. It worked for Brian Wilson, good enough for me. ;)

His voise on the video was extremely boring aswell. Should've got a woman to do it, might've kept me interested lol

First. judging a mix by how it looks is like judging a painting by how it tastes.

Second, there's no such thing as "the perfect EQ" for any given track or mix. That's like saying there's only one way to direct a movie. There are as many ways to EQ or mix any given track that can work well as there are talented engineers.

"..it works even better if you compare you individual track elements to the ref. mix" (or some such -paraphrasing)
I stopped listening right there.
Even assuming a whole lot, eq is just frequency power response. You can eq the shit out of 'something', and that doesn't make it sound like something else.

I don't think this as a quick fix is a good idea, If you're just starting out it would be something to learn from maybe, as I think we all start out trying to get our mixes to sound professional but trying to say it will make your recording sound professional in an instant, that's not right. You would have to have recorded your material just as well if not exactly like the artist your trying to emulate for it to work perfectly.

This guy is a rip-off artist and he knows he's lying to people.

Once I read:

"Engineers used to have to have years and years of training.
Nowadays, with computers, it's a lot easier to mix your tracks - when you know the tricks!", I knew that he knew he was full of shit.

The other videos by this guy are just as bad.

From the "Drum Pocketing" video:

"And I'd appreciate it if you kept this technique to yourself!"

Which is why he's posted it on YouTube for the whole world to see free-of-charge.

"And I'd appreciate it if you kept this technique to yourself!"
:D. I'd like to ask him to do the same thing. ;)

What is it about the new breed of spectral editors that attracts so many flakes? This is at least the third instance that has been brought to this board's attention of someone making wlid claims or otherwise trying to falsely impress the world because thy think that spectral editors are the new Radium Water?

This is right up there with the cd/dvd demagnetizer.

I rarely post here, mostly only read, dude, this was pure genious. Love it and filing the quote for later use with appropriate credit of course. :D

I don't know.. depends what you paint with..and what you paint on. :)

I used to eat glue. That's pretty close to paint, right? And it must have tasted pretty good because I used to eat a lot of it. You know that paste/glue that you spread on with a stick? umm..ummm
