eq. to tape

Here's a question for you all! If I record a track WITH eq. button on my console depressed it will go to tape with eq. However, when I play back with the same eq. button depressed, does it double the eq. or if I dont change eq. setting and leave it as it was recorded, does it cancel the eq. out as the frequences are the same as recorded?? Jim

Its quite simple......

1......If you record through EQ onto tape, your track is EQ'd.
2......If you play that track back through EQ, you will EQ it again therefore doubling the EQ.
