EQ Problems!! Need Help!

When I record through my Digital 16 track, I keep only producing low frequencies. Like when I look at the output on my reciever most of the signals are between the 60-1k range. Obviously there is something i am doing wrong.

Example when i record my drum machine, even the snare is on the low end, and putting more high eq on it doesnt help.

Any suggestions?

Advice:

Stop looking at the frequency response and start listening to how it sounds. If it sounds good, it is good. Note that a good punchy snare has a lot of low end...
