Hey folks, I'm looking for an expert here.
Here's the deal. I have a MOTU 2408 hooked up via 3 TDIFs to the DM24. I have a Yamaha 01V hooked into the DM24 via the ADAT connections. (The DM24 is the master clock)
Here's what I want to do.
=================================
ML1 - TDIF A1 (direct out to MOTU)
.
.
.
ML8 - TDIF A8
--------------------
ML9 - TDIF B1
.
.
.
ML16 - TDIF B8
--------------------
ADAT1 - TDIF C1 (passing thru and out to MOTU)
.
.
.
ADAT8 - TDIF C8
=================================
I would like to be able to hear all 24 of these channels as the sources pass to the 2408. I would also like to be able to simultaneously hear 2 channels (stereo mix) from the MOTU coming back (SPDIF?) so I can monitor the previously recorded tracks.
Other goals...
I want to be able to add reverb or other effects to any of the 24 tracks (this is for trackting - I don't want the reverb applied to what is actually being recorded). I guess it would be nice to select if it were applied or not but I can do without that if I have to.
If there were an easy way after trackting was done to then make the 3 tdif's the sources so that I could mix "outside the box" I would love to know how, but this is a luxury I can do without.
I've really tried to figure the board out and have read quite a bit of the manuals but I still don't quite get it.
Any help greatly appreciated.
