ensoniq halo

I was wondering what everyone, or anyone, thought about the ensoniq halo?
I am looking to buy a used keyboard for around $500. Found a halo on ebay.
What do you think? Are there better boards for the price. I'm looking to do dark synths, a bit of piano, and lots of strings (u2, the cure, depeche mode, etc.)

Uh!

Musiciansfriend was selling these units recently for $400.00 brand new. but they dont make them anymore.
I personaly tried one and didnt like it. BUT, I dont realy care for e-mu/ensoniq keys except the fizmo was pretty cool.......
