I am able to enable floating in Sonar but my question is how do I set up my PC for it? I do have a dual monitor card but don't know how to "activate" it. If I have 2 monitors connected, then try to float my console view to second monitor ' nuttin happens

If you left click on the control box, (top left of the window), there will be an option at the bottom for "Enable Floating" once you have that selected, you can maximise and move the window around without changing the windows behind it.

No, I've got that part. I think I need to set up my graphics card for dual monitor. I have a dual card in my PC but doesn't it need to be set up for dual?

"Extend Windows desktop to this monitor" or something similar from Display Properties rings a bell...

Control Panel - Display Properties - Settings - "Extend my Windows desktop....."

Like the attached pic.

If you don't see the 1/2 thing, then I am guessing your video card has two output plugs but only one video "brain". You need two brains - one for each monitor.

What is your video card? Do you see an exact copy on the 2nd monitor or what?

I have a dual video card, both monitors connected. When I go to control panel, settings, I only see 1 monitor.

Got it!

I thought I should restart with second monitor connected so I did, went to control panel, settings and activated second monitors. Great! Thanks for your help!
Jim :)
