I'm not starting any analog vs digital debate but I have to disagree;I don't think there was/is any drawback to the "analog sound". I would agree that using a razor blade is far less convenient than cut and paste.

I think (I could be wrong) that Gonzo-x was being facetious and pointing out the irony that digital diehards would want to emulate analog.
