EMU/Onboard audio question

I have an EMU-1212, this card only has 2 analogue outputs. Currently I have these connected to my stereo which has two speakers and a headphone output.

I would like to be able to connect multiple headphones and maybe a sub. With the onboard Realtek HD drivers it gives you the option to assign each jack on my computer to whatever I need it to be, and I have plenty of jacks.

Is it going to cause me problems if I try using the EMU for input/recording/midi and Realtek for output? Or is there a way I can output my EMU signal through the Realtek card?

Thanks

Don't bother using the on-board sound card. The EMU1212 is your best bet. You have a few options. The anolog outs can go wherever you want, so if they go to your stereo, look to add the sub to the stereo output. For more headphones, same thing, use the stereo headphone out.

You do have digital outs on the EMU which can open up a whole lot of options, but you will need more gear. Probably a mixer, and speakers/monitors, possible a power amp.

You could look at just a headphone amp if you need multiple headphone outs.
