I am having a problem with my headphone output on my Emu1820. There is no sound coming out of the designated headphone output on the dock. My question is: Do you think it is a hardware problem (meaning the headphone amp doesnt work any more) or a software problem? I went into the mixer and the headphone output was not selected. i selected it and there was still no sound. I also deslected line 4 out which goes to my monitors and it didnt do anything. I would think it should have shut the speakers off but it didnt.
I do bedroom recording and really need the headphone output. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running Cakewalk Home Studio with the Emu1820.

never had the headphone problem.

if everything else is working in the 1820, it would seem likely its the headphones or the headphone jack & circuit.

have u ever had your headphone jack off?

yes, it was off but its on now. What about turning off output 4,as I mentioned, when I shut it off in the screen shot you posted, it didnt actually shut the speakers off?

the orange and green lines, only route it thru the monitor knob or it doesn't.

if routed to the "MON" / Green....you can use the little Mon volume control.
if routed from the Mixer, Orange...the Monitor volume knob is ignored only the sliders work.

I don't see any off button for turning OFF your headphones? There's the volume knob on the micro dock but thats too obvious?....

to be honest I don't customize the patchmix, I go to the Session folder at the top right, and select & click on "Default Multitrack". Maybe you could reload the Patchmix your working with your Session?
