I have a MXL 990 condenser and i was wondering if the emu 1212m soundcard is good to go with it? I was also wondering what pre-amp is good? I'm running on a $150 budget for the amp...
Why not add the money and get the 1820? The pres on the 1820 sound very very good. Not as much gain as my DMP3 but a smoother sound. like SMOOV. very good pair of pres.
The Emu cards are excellent... if you're using ASIO. I use Sonar 3 with ASIO and it works well. If you can't use ASIO (such as in Sonar 1) you're out of luck. the WDM drivers are BAD.
