[Xolo Rescue]

Hello,

I am considering buying one of these from a friend. He has the drivers but no studio software. Can somebody recommend a software program that will work with this hardware to mix and produce?

I'm actually looking for something cheap or free. Please no flames! I'll purchase a $10K system when I get a record deal.

There's nothing free out there that's any good --- and I've looked.

If you can spend $150, I recommend a program called Tracktion --- LINK --- they have a 10 day or 2 week free trial period of unrestricted use during which you can decide if this whole computer music thing is actually something you want to pursue.

You could try kristal which is free:

Or Cubase SE can be had for around $100 and it's excellent. You could even upgrade to SX when you get your record deal (or SL if it's an indie label ) and the price of SE would be deducted.
