EMI SE7000 Reel to Reel Recorder

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could provide some info on this piece of equipment. I stumbled across it and have been holding on to it for a while now. I know nothing about recording on tape, and from what I have found it is a data recorder. Wondering if I could mess around with some audio on it? 3.webp2.webp1.webp
 
Yes, a data recorder. A very handy device for collecting industrial data in the fields of aeronautics, medical and scientific studies as well as numerous business tasks related to maintaining and analyzing information. All very handy things for the era before the present day computer one we now live under.

As an audio recorder, these devices were about useful as tits on a bull. :D

Makes a fine paper weight/brick-a-bract/movie set prop though! ;)
