Setup: Mac dual G5 10.4.5, Logic Pro and Ableton Live 5.

Problem: Logic or Ableton do not recognize midi info from blue, Unitor 8 hardware. When I use another interface ( the MOTU 828 audio interface that has basic midi capabilities ) both programs and all modules work fine with either program, just with less flexibility.

Facts:

1. The Unitor lights up went it receives midi. And it passes midi along the hardware chain directly to all midi modules.

2. This same system used to work. After Mac OS updates and hard drive reformatting, problem surfaces. But, all the same gear is in place.

3. System Profiler does recognize the USB Unitor8 Mk2 ( applications/utilities/hardware/usb ).

4. We did download new Unitor drivers because I could not find original install disc, and I guess it's out of date anyway. Maybe I didn't download it all correctly, or it's corrupted?? What exactly should the download contain?

5. On blue hardware Unitor8, when it receives a midi signal from a keyboard, the RS 422 yellow light flashes, but the USB light does NOT. Is that a clue?

6. Although for the last year, the Unitor has functioned correctly, I do know that it is not hooked up to the exact correct wall wart/ AC power supply. What should specs on Unitor8 mk2 power supply be?

7. Where can I get current install disc with drivers? I couldn't get right info from Apple site. Help me out.

8. I would really be impressed and thankful if this madae call ( or however you spell it ) is addressed and resolved.

THANK YOU,
G-Bo
